The Baptism of Jesus

The baptism is the moment that John sees Jesus as the son of God. So it seems to be that John might not have all the data about who Jesus is yet. But then at the same time, you do have John's response, like when Jesus walks up in this passage, John would have prevented him. He must have some inkling by that moment that Jesus is the Messiah.
