Brian Wells: A Simple Story
Brian Wells was a delivery man for mama mia's pizzeria in Erie, Pennsylvania. He had only called in sick one time during his 10 years working there. On August 28, 2003, he stole $8,700 from the PNC Bank and sped off with the cash. The device attached to his neck consisted of a triple-banded metal collar that ratcheted shut like a giant handcuff. Below the collar, hung an iron box that rested against his chest, which according to the note contained explosives.
