The US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, has said that the full-scale invasion has contaminated 30% of Ukraine with land mines and explosive hazards. The Ukraine's themselves have issued a press statement saying that they are planning to return 470,000 hectares of the most valuable agricultural land to productive use within four years. "We invest a great deal of time in survey because you can waste a lot of money clearing land mines from places that don't have them," he says.
