Bob Dylan heard about Rolling Thunder's sunrise ceremonies and wanted to play with them. Mickey captured the ceremony on tape for his first solo album, "Rolling Thunder" There is no definite proof that Bob Dylan named a tour after Rolling Thunder; he could have picked it up from any number of sources,. But nevertheless, that was Rolling Thunder's entry into the world of rock and roll... For better or for worse, it allowed him to buy some land in California.
