A lot of people, especially if they're pushing their weight lost pretty far and getting pretty lean, a lot of people do expect some degree of strength loss over the course of their cut. So in many instances, it makes sense. Body builders are a bit notorious for over training, or over reaching, i should say, especially during contest prep. And so when people reach a point where their strength has fallen off a little bit and their weight loss seems to be plateuing, i would argue that that's kind of a perfect time to do a d load.
