Are You Getting the Gunk Off of a Bolt?

i worked for a cony nuclear station, and i was in the maintenance department. I had to wear an ice vess and spirator and pour sludge on bolts until the paint came off,. And it ali it aad sogd. It wasn't great money, i understood it was a stepping stone. After doing that, i sure am grateful for my nice, cushy job. But would you call either one of those things?
