The less mindful we are about how we deploy our time, the more we feel stressed out and over scheduled. A famous study in the 1970s demonstrated this. When people felt they had scarce time, they were less likely to stop and help someone. And what I found was simply thinking about one's busyness made people less likely to be willing to spend the time to help another.
