Nastalga was considered a disease when people were feeling normal, like bouts of homesickness for leaving home. It's only really in the past, like several decades, that it's been taken up by corporate entities and politicians. One way we can think about an alternative to the present is to think about an egaletarian, democratic future where these things could come into being.
