The Importance of Consensus in Decision-Making

I was coming from a quite traditional background of, you know, just in terms of the culture I grew up in, quite hierarchical. And so this whole inquiry and how do we create fairer working environments, more inclusive working environments was quite a priority for me and for others. One of the problems with that is that one aspect of that is seeking consensus in decision-making. So when you aim to find absolute agreement between everyone, you ironically end up diminishing the scope of options because you have to kind of compromise and lobby.
