The Five Ways to Engage in Metaphysical Discourse
Ed Phaser: In order to properly understand the project of understanding God's existence you have to have a metaphysical mindset. He argues that in Aquinas' five ways there is no distinction between essence and existence but only how they account for them. The argument from motion begins with an analysis of what must be the case what the world must be like in order for change to exist in it, he says.
