Transfused Blood - The Difference Between Life and Death

A 24-year-old mother gave birth via C-section and started to bleed. Doctors had some blood of her blood type on hand, but they transfused it in 10 minutes. The doctors who were taking care of her immediately called the distribution center. They ended up sending seven units of red blood cells, four units of plasma, and two units of platelets. That's more blood than you have in your entire body.
