The Challenge of Being an Outsider

When working in government digital transformation, one of the first things that I did was made sure that the team that we needed to work on a project was relieved of duties. And so what it ended up being is that this team was just disconnected from the rest of the organization,. but it's there to solve a very specific problem. Then you go to be an outsider, completely independent, no influence really influence, but no authority over the business that you're working with and all that project team who got other jobs to do.
