The Green Revolution in Shrilanka

Srelanke relies on its small holder farmers for around 80 % of its domestic food supply. The majority of shrilankes small farmers are poor and can't afford chemical fertilizers without state help. Back in the 19 sixties, a global initiative to ease mel nutrition in developing nations was rolled out in several countries,. It was called the green revolution. And that is to encourage farmers to grow improved varieties of price which are high yielding.
