What's Your Favorite Book by a Woman?

I think the main thing is kind of noticing. I remember after Life is a Miracle, I just started noticing all the ways that I would slip into that sort of machine talk. And then that would change the way that I would see people. Marilyn Robinson is a huge influence on me and her, it's not a book, but I think it's probably going to be one eventually. She has an article in the New York Review of Books this month called A Theology of the Present Moment. In some ways actually, she's addressing what we were just talking about, where she's saying, for a long time, there was this idea of science and religion being odds with one another.
