I feel the sentiment of horror as you've been talking about that. It's so hurtful to see people talk about bodies in general like that. And no one deserves that. If we're going to have beauty pageants, I better see a diverse range of bodies just as I would see in everyday life. That's what I would just strongly advocate for instead of separating or categorizing people who look different as a separate category which still promotes narrative of otherness.
