Refinery Red Mud
The largest waste product generated in box site refining or making the luminums is called red mud. Red mud contains some useful substances like iron into titanium and alumina. Scandium makes aluminum alloys extra strong, kind of like you were talking about earlier. And there's only six primary aluminum smelters in the entire country.
