The framework would close the boy friend loophole, so that no domestic abuser can buy a gun if they are convicted of abuse against their partner. No one truly expected this reform to be sweeping. Guncontrolled advocates at best hoped for incremental change. But over all, americans have been lowering their support for stricter gun laws.
