How Did You Get Interested in the Late Bronze Age Aegean?
In hindsight when you see significant change in material culture and we term it collapse, this is a problem. I'm interested in people in lived lives and how landscapes impact people and memory. The history is something we have to imagine as happening above and in alongside the material culture that we have on our hands. We can't know anything about these events but there are other cases where texts don't tell us anything about them at all. And of course in your lived reality and I'm a firm believer in trying to take that into account.
