I was in a meeting with australian aboriginals and torrestrade islanders. I said, nobody thinks it's good if a father is drunk or using drugs and abusing their children. But my understanding is it costs a hundred thousand dollars a year to take a child into care. Surely for that kind of money, you could work with the family to try and deal with it?
