The Traps of Ivan's Violence

Ivan's violence went far beyond the occasional hunting trips. He would throw things at her if he thought their home wasn't clean enough, and grew enraged if she tried to talk to anyone outside the house. If he was out at night, he called home to make sure Karen was there and hadn't left without his permission. When Ivan did let Karen leave the house, there were even more traps for her.
