Labour has done better than they thought in a lot of these leave-leading places so far. Salkiness would be the word that's come up more than once from both parties about conservative voters. Labour are now the biggest party on Bolton council. Similarly, if you look at Middlesbrough, Labour took the Marlty which is a huge psychological boost and they also won back stoak.
