The Sensor and Censorship

In Caesar's day, a pre tour was a judicial officer who had brought authority in cases of equity. After a year, the pre tours usually became provincial governors. And then two more, first the sensor, Roman sensors by Caesar's time served for only 18 months but were incredibly powerful. Two sensors were served at one time and they had to agree on decisions and they could veto each other's decisions. The power of the sensor was nearly absolute. No magistrate could oppose their decisions,. except I assume consoles, little murky in sources. Only another sensor who succeeded a sensor could cancel their decisions. It was insane by Caesar'sTime.
