The Magna Carta in Westminster Hall
The Magna Carta was designed and there are versions of it from 1215 to 1297. The benefits of things like trial with juries, no taxation without representation, right to habeas corpus were put into the charters for the 13 colonies. In many ways, our Revolutionary War,. which was against England ironically, was really based on the premise that we had the rights of the Magna carta. Many people in this country believe they had those rights because they were guaranteed in the colonial charters.
