Should I Start NAC for an Overdose?

When there's a possibility that the elevated transaminases are because of acetaminophen, you should start NAC. Many physicians out there who give NAC very liberally if they have any suspicion whatsoever of an acetaminophen overdose. If you can get that level back within eight hours, then it's fine to wait until you get the level and actually plot it on the nomogram. Otherwise, you should use NAC-lacine when there's a detectable level or there's a suspicion that they present it as a delayed acetaminophen or a stagger-deceitaminophen use.
