The Evolution of El Nino

There have been 30 occurrences of El Nino since 1900 and six of them or a fifth have been recorded after 2000. There is growing evidence that points to a potential role for greenhouse gases in amplifying this natural climate cycle on our planet. With the evidence that they may be increasing in amplitude all the more reason to consider how we are designing our response emergency planning and response strategies but also longer term considerations about our infrastructure.
