The Volatility of the Credit Cycle
Housing inflation is now up 9% on a three month annualized basis. We have near record cash on how so balance sheets were right around $4.5 trillion in checkable deposits. One thing that I've learned from business cycles for 15 years is that you tend to see two factors, capital misallocation and financial tightening before the start of a recession. The concept of excess savings and dwindling down and lower income consumers running out of access savings is all Wall Street nonsense. Just slap it down, move it on. You heard it here, folks.
