The Values of Critical Humanism

The book is an articulation of the values of what I call critical humanism. And those four values are post-critical reasoning, social criticism, cross-cultural fluency, and environmental responsibility. These are values that are central to the work of humanists in the university today. There are ways in which we can understand the study of religion as both contributing to these values and also being informed and shaped by them.
