How to Use Research to Argue for Priorities
Research can go in a lot of different directions. It really is dependent on the particular partnership where we're working. We've been asked about human trafficking prevention as an example and someone in the Human Rights Commission included some of the research that we provided in an international memo. Another person asked us about missing and murdered indigenous women and their main barrier was getting it on the policy agenda for the committee. That happened just before the pandemic and then everything kind of switched focus entirely. So these are helpful examples to even get a sense of like what are the things that are the possibilities of using this.
