What Do You Think About Land Trusts?

In the bioregionalist movement, there's a lot of enthusiasm these days about land trusts. The idea that we can own things in discrete ways has to be reflective of the fact that it's simply not true. It's a capitalist abstraction of our relationship to them. But as a strategy for change, I think people individually kind of raising money to buy land trusts and so on and so forth will only be tolerated under capitalism so long as it doesn't pose a threat to it.
