The District Attorney's Purview on Homelessness
The district attorney does not have a huge impact on the issue of homelessness. Chese budin said, i'm not going to prosecute people for crimes like public camping. I think that that's unequivocally a good thing. When you prosecute people for things like public camping, what you do is you cause them to interact with the poice in scenarios that often involve them having to pick up and move where they are. They don't have anywhere to go. But just leaving them as they are isn't humane either.
