When doing laboratory investigations for an acetaminophen poison patient, remember to wait for the four hour mark before you draw your acetaminophen concentration. Maybe hypothermia early after their exposure before you have any evidence of liver enzyme elevation. Think about acetaminophen as being the etiology of your hepatitis in a patient where you don't have any other obvious cause because NAC can be a treatment even after acetaminophen is already gone.
