What's It All About?

George Orwell identified a situation, idea or societal condition that was destructive to the welfare of a free and open society. The conditions here are Dickensian. An array of complex characters. But yeah, it does make it sound like you're like, oh yeah, that guy. Dickens was a real dick in that guy. Well, running all these factories and having all the smoke stacks everywhere. It was anti all that stuff. So 1984. What's it all about? That's what I want to know. We all start with the opening line: "It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking 13"
