The Golden State Killer case was the first to use genetic genealogy. C.C. Moore solved it in her sweatpants, without leaving her couch. She took on four more cold cases that the police had spent 126 years on collectively. By the end of 2018, she had nailed 32 suspects, all without leaving her home.
