The Romanesque Style of Architecture in the High Middle Ages
Romanesque style was popular, especially in the eleventh century, all over the latin west. This romanesque style gradually evolved into into gothic in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The great cathedrals of the high middle ages were not built with any written plans or schematics. It was learned skill and practice that ed people to build these very elaborate, mathematically sophisticated buildings.
