CHAPTER

Growth Mindset and Academic Achievement

The OECD surveyed random samples of students from 74 developed nations with number of students being over half a million 555,458 and showed that growth mindset was significantly and positively associated with test scores in 72 of those nations the exceptions were China and Lebanon. In different countries actually you get different values of the correlation coefficient or the percentage of people who say that they are that they have a different growth mindset. Almost every single country has a positive correlation with the exception of China and one other unspecified country but there is a big variation some of them are very close to zero I think this is the first time I've ever seen something psychological so widely tested in different countries.
