The Innermost Nature of God
"I would like to propose for your consideration, a text, an image, not from the new, but from the Old Testament," he says. "It's a startling, unexpected image of a man, a lover, seeking in the dead of night to make contact with his bride, his beloved". The lover is, of course, none other than the living God. And his bride,. his beloved, is an image astonishing to relate an image of ourselves.
