The Technocrats' Politics of Inevitability

The contingent nature of reality as with any utopian vision would lead you to disaster. The major mistake the technocrats have made is that they spent 30 years no longer trying to get anything done in the world and assuming it will all just happen automatically. There is i believe a very powerful role for technology kind of ordering the chaos of our world to create at least a functional world for human beings to exist in.
