The Importance of Establishing Shots on YouTube
Hayden: If a traditional editor comes under the YouTube scene and they're trying to edit their YouTube story, there's a high chance they're going to start with an establishing shot. Whereas I think with we have to think about different viewing habits from YouTube compared to viewing habits that we would have on cinema. And so you start off curious and then you end sad in just six words. It's like that quote you're telling me about me was Hemingway.
