Is Regional Anesthesia Better Than Spinal Anesthesia?

There was an article about hip fracture surgery comparing general and regional anesthesia that had come out in the past year. Angie, what's your take on that study and if we should be moving away from spinals or and moving back toward general anesthesia? I think as an anesthesiologist, the most important thing to do is to have a conversation with a patient to determine what does the patient, what did the patient prefer. There are still advantages to regional anesthesia, even if we haven't shown an overall survival benefit.
