There are definitely a couple of thematic through lines that I think are really helpful in orienting one of them being family. And as we get deeper into the album through the interludes and into the more intensely personal singer songwriter songs like Kansugi and fingertips we start to kind of go somewhere a little bit stranger. It feels like you're just sort of driving off the path all the way out until we get to peppers and we start like goofing around and like pretending that we're the red hot chili peppers like playing surf rock.
