Case 218: The Blackout Killers (Part 1)

Casefile True Crime

CHAPTER

Gordon Cummins Finger Prints

Detective chief superintendent frederick cherrill had been working the black out ripper case since the murder of evelyn hamilton. Traces of blood were found on cummen's clothing, but restraints in scientific testing meant it couldn't be compared to the blood of the victims yet. He was examined by a medical officer to determine if he was sufferingfom any mental illness that might have influenced his violent behavior. The doctor concluded the character and sights of the wounds inflicted on the victims points to a sadistic basis for the murders. At no time has he exhibited any evidence of mental disease. Cummins also had a wife who steadfastly defended him.
