The very spiritual type of people, one of the routes to a deeper spirituality is to see the ways in which you are just like every other human being. And this is part of Nietzsche's psychological understanding of the ascetic that I think is also quite brilliant. So there's something spiritual about the cynic, that what the cynic is is the kind of person who is spiritual enough in their baseness.
