Liberals need to be aware that if you feel like the prospect of radical change is exciting and you're into it, like you are unusual, right? Yes. And if you go out with that as the headline, you're going to be in a tiny minority of people. That's exactly right. So being aware that this is a possibility in trying to avoid it rather than provoking and eliciting motivated system defensiveness by just poking people right in the status quo. Martin Luther King Jr. was a genius at tying the egalitarian goals of his movement to the American ideals about freedom, equality, democracy, and so on.
