The Impact of San Francisco's New Framework for Math
San Francisco has a policy of requiring students to wait until freshman year to take algebra one. Cecilia: There was not a statistically significant change in the percentage of black students that were enrolling in advanced math courses. And initially, we saw Asian and white student enrollment decline in those advanced placement math courses. The reality is people will find workarounds to this as we were talking about having summer classes in geometry or some families are hiring private tutors.
