How Did the Arabs and the Muslims of Medina Do So Well?
The Arabs and the Muslims of this time didn't really have to worry about maintaining a large supply chain. Khaled Ibn Walid wasn't your typical general sitting somewhere in a fortified castle making that his new headquarters. They were used to living off of very little, whereas most people need a very diet to get by the Arabs at that time. So if the only food supplies you have to carry with you is some dates and water and you have your camel to provide milk for you, then you're set. And that's what the Arabs did for so long.
