The notion that arthur was a larger than life, powerful figure who protected and maybe ruled britain starts to be reflected a lot in place names. We start to see welsh speakers refer ito different points around britain as arthur's seat or arthur's oven. And significantly, there is a massive set of standing boulders that seem to have been erected around bodman moor in cornwall, down in the far southwestern corner of england,. In an area that was still largely celtic. So we're starting to see astronger association of arthur with southwestern england and with being some kind of ruler.
