The Importance of the Frontal Pole in Subjective Experiences

The human brain has some unique features, especially in the prefrontal cortex. Other animals may have their own kinds of experiences. I've identified auto-noetic consciousness as something special that may be human-unique. But even if other animals don't have that, they could have what's called noetic consciousness - awareness of facts and things about themselves but not time travel.
