120 - Buster And Billie / Baxter / The Fast Kill
The Video Archives Podcast with Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avary
The Last Picture Show and Summer of 42
Buster and Billy belongs to a subgenre in the 70s that I'm quite a fan of. Turgid 70s Terjurgers. Which are either love stories going to arrive for whatever reason or somebody becomes crippled and then they have to fight back. One of my favorite ones, even though it's a little ridiculous, is a movie called The Promise with Kathleen Quinlan and Stephen Collins. There's like The Christmas Tree with William Holden, which is really good. Sidney Poitier's A Warm December, which is sort of like a Black Love Story, a Love Story with Sickle Cell.
