Swimming in the Maldives

There isn't really a body or governing body that does look after swimmers in wild rivers is there? It's not quite the picturesque clear colourless water of the Maldives. Is there any worry about the cleanliness of the water? Yes there are concerns about the water quality and we are downstream of water treatment plants. There are people who are directly monitor the water quality through the year. We know there are times when the the bacteria load is higher. Some of that is due to release from sewage work. And it's hard to separate out those those two effects. That's what I mean by an addiction.
