Lepton Is Receptive to Reductions in Body Fat

About half of that 25 % drop, up to half, can be adaptive in nature. Up to 80 or 90% of that adaptation is driven by reductions in non activity thermogenesis. And the key signal driving that is a drop in lepton. Leptin is responsive to reductions in body fat. If we lose a lot of fat mass, those fat cells are putting less leptin into circulation.
